Homemade cherry ice cream by Edible Reflections

I’ve been having a lot of fun making different flavors of ice cream. And the best part is taking advantage of fruits that are in season.

Homemade Cherry Ice Cream

  • Servings: 4 cups
  • Difficulty: easy

Ingredients:

1 14-ounce can of fat-free sweetened condensed milk
2 cups of heavy cream
1 tablespoon of vanilla extract
Pinch of salt
3 cups of cherry compote completely cooled

Preparation:

1- Whip the cream until stiff peaks form.
2- In a small bowl, combine the condensed milk, salt and vanilla extract.
3- Fold the milk mixture into the whipped cream until combined.
4- Add cherry compote and fold
5-Pour into a freezer-safe container, cover tightly and freeze overnight.
6-And now…wait.

    This looks creamy, delicious and super easy! I have never made ice cream at home before, because I assumed I would need an ice-cream maker but this looks perfectly doable 🙂
