Baked Donuts

Not bad for a first time donut baker. I really like how it turned out. I got the inspiration from camillestyles.com

I’ve been wanting to make donuts for about 2 months. This morning I just decided to do it and I’m very pleased. Now I want to try different flavors. Below is the recipe.

Baked Donuts

  • Servings: 7
  • Difficulty: easy
  • Print

Ingredients:

5 tablespoons unsalted butter (room temperature)
1/2 cup sugar
1 egg
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
2 1/4 teaspoons baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
1/2 cup milk
3 tablespoons unsalted butter (melted)
1/2 cup sugar
1 tablespoon cinnamon

Preparation:

1-Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Coat donut pan with nonstick cooking spray. Set aside.
2-Cream butter and sugar until fluffy. Add egg and mix well.
3-Sift flour, baking powder, salt and nutmeg. Add the dry ingredients alternating with milk to the sugar, butter and egg mixture.
4-Fill donut tins half full. Bake 15-20 minutes. Remove them from the pan immediately. Swirl the tops with the melted butter and then the sugar and cinnamon mixture.

Enjoy, Bon Appétit, Buen Provecho!                                                              EdibleReflections.com
