For the first time this Friday I was able to stop by the Hip Donelson Farmers Market. As I walked around the different vendors, my eyes and feet gravitated towards Wild Flours Organic Mill and Bakery. What can I say, I LOVE BREAD and anything related to it!
A beautiful display of breads, muffins, cinnamon rolls and scones were calling out to me all at the same time! I literally kept going back and forth trying to decide what I would pick.
I made a point to only buy one thing to try out. I purchased the blueberry lemon scone. It was just the right size and I didn’t feel guilty buying it :).
I don’t know how it lasted as long as it did. I probably could’ve eaten it right there. But I was patient and decided to share it with my husband and kids at home. I know, you’re probably thinking “what a gal!” :).
I took one bite and I was hooked!!!!!! OMG!!! I wish I would’ve eaten it at the market because I would’ve bought more! It was the right balance of blueberries with a hint of lemon. It was sweet enough that you didn’t feel you were getting a sugar coma. It wasn’t crumbly like some scones that I’ve tried before and it wasn’t dry either. It was an absolute pleasant surprise! I think between the 4 of us the scone lasted about 2 minutes. It didn’t stand a chance!
My family looked at me in astonishment. They couldn’t believe that I had teased them with just part of 1 scone. Can we say “Is it Friday yet?” I will definitely stop by the market and try their other goods next week.
I want more NOW!!!!!!! 🙂
Please note that neither the vendor or the market know about my comments and posting. This blog is entirely my opinion about the product I purchased and loved so much that I wanted to share it with you!
Happy eating because life is too short to not eat what you enjoy!
If you like this post, don’t hesitate to share it with your friends, family, dog, cat, etc. I’ll be super happy if you share it on Facebook, Twitter, smoke signals, etc.
