Since they opened their doors at the Donelson, TN location, I have to say that I’m ecstatic to have a wonderful Italian restaurant in my backyard.

I just went there over the weekend for the second time with my family and friends. Smiling faces greeted all of us including the kids!

I was impressed with their genuine desire to educate us on their in-house made pasta. We got to see the pasta before ordering. No surprises there. A huge plus!

I was most intrigued with the menu. It was straight to the point and it gave me the flexibility to order what I wanted and how i wanted it. It allows you to pick your own pasta/sauce/meat or if you’d rather have one of their prepared meals that’s available as well.

I decided to go with the fresh ricotta cheese and spinach ravioli with sorrentina sauce (fresh diced tomatoes, basil, garlic, extra virgin olive oil and red pepper and grilled chicken.

Words can’t explain how delicious it was. The pasta was cooked perfectly, not too hard and not too soft. The mozzarella was absolutely amazing. I could’ve eaten that for dinner all by itself.

This dish reminded me of my travels to Rome. The smell of the cheese, breads and pasta was intoxicating. So at Mirko Pasta I was pretty much under the influence of incredible flavors.

Do yourself a favor and stop by. You will not be disappointed!

Ciao!
