Ingredients:
1/2 pound unsalted butter (room temperature)
1 cup dark brown sugar, packed
1 cup granulated sugar
2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
2 extra large eggs (room temperature)
2/3 cup unsweetened cocoa
2 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
11 ounces white chocolate chips
Preparation:
1-Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
2-Sift the flour, baking soda and salt and set aside.
3-In an electric mixer with the paddle attachment cream the butter. Add each sugar (one at a time) and mix until light and fluffy.
4-Add the vanilla, then the eggs, 1 at a time, and mix well.
5-Add the cocoa and mix well.
6-Add the flour, baking soda and salt mix and mix until combined.
7-Fold the white chocolate chips.
8-Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
9-Use a tablespoon to drop dough on sheets.
10-Bake for 15 minutes.
11-Let cookies cool in wire rack for 15 minutes. Then remove from baking sheets and let them cool completely.

My daughter is on Fall break for 2 weeks. I had to figure out a way to keep her entertained. I asked her what she wanted to bake and she said “chocolate cookies”. We proceeded to look for a recipe, got her an apron and a chair for her to help. Also gathered all the ingredients for her. I do have to say that I’m proud that we share the same passion for baking.
